Ghanaian highlife icon Daddy Lumba born Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, celebrated his 60th birthday at Bay View Village in Accra, attracting a star-studded crowd.
Celebrities like Serwaa Amihere, Nana Ama Mcbrown, Empress Gifty, and Okyeame Kwame were among those who joined the festivities. The event turned into a vibrant musical celebration.
One of the standout moments of the night occurred when Daddy Lumba seemingly snubbed Ofori Amponsah during his tribute.

Before Daddy Lumba’s arrival, Ofori Amponsah took the stage to express his admiration for the highlife icon.
“Before my father comes on stage, I’d like to say something. My father, Daddy Lumba, was more than a prophet. From the moment he saw me, he told me I was a star. Daddy, I love you so much,” Ofori Amponsah said.
As Ofori Amponsah continued to speak, a member of Daddy Lumba’s team approached him, signaling that it was time for Daddy Lumba to take the stage.
Ofori expected to share a moment with DL, hoping to continue his praise in person. However, upon Daddy Lumba’s arrival, the atmosphere shifted.
In a gesture of respect, Ofori Amponsah immediately knelt before Daddy Lumba. He then reached out to hug him, but to his surprise, the highlife legend swerved the embrace and gestured for Ofori Amponsah to leave the stage.
