Grand entrance and majestic reception: Otumfuo’s historic visit to Oguaa (Video)

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, made a grand entrance into Oguaa (Cape Coast) for a historic visit that’s capturing the hearts of many.

This special trip comes after he was invited by the Oguaa Traditional Council to be the guest speaker at the Oguaa Fetu Afahye Grand Durbar on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

The Oguaa Fetu Afahye is one of the biggest cultural festivals in Ghana’s Central Region, and this year is extra special as it marks the 60th anniversary of the festival.

Videos from Royal Palace Multimedia showcase the Asantehene’s journey from Manhyia Palace in Kumasi to his reception at the Emintsimadze Palace in Oguaa.

His departure was nothing short of spectacular, with a convoy of over 10 Land Cruisers and several other vehicles, all escorted by at least three police motorcades.

Upon arriving at the Emintsimadze Palace in Oguaa, the reception was nothing short of extraordinary.

A young girl welcomed him with a beautiful bouquet, setting the tone for a warm and respectful greeting.

Following this, a young performer from the Asafo group took to the stage, capturing everyone’s attention with his energetic display of the red and white Asafo flag.

The Asantehene seemed genuinely pleased as he watched the young boy’s performance. His joy was clear, and it added a personal touch to the grand festivities.

After the performance, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II shared a hearty handshake and a warm embrace with his host, the Oguaamanhene, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II.
