Ghanaian actress and TV host Emelia Brobbey has shared her heartfelt appreciation for fellow actress Nana Ama McBrown and her role in helping to advance her acting career.
In a heartfelt interview with Angel TV, Brobbey spoke warmly about McBrown’s support and how it significantly impacted her journey in the film industry.
Emelia Brobbey revealed that McBrown played a crucial role in making her feel welcome when she first entered the acting world.

She explained that after her initial break in acting, guided through an audition by actor Daniel Adeleye, McBrown’s kindness made her transition smoother.
Brobbey, who was commuting from Obuasi, where she was teaching, to Kumasi for movie shoots, found McBrown’s hospitality invaluable. McBrown allowed her to stay at her place whenever she came to Kumasi, which helped ease her frequent travels.
Eventually, Brobbey left her teaching job to focus on acting full-time, relocating from Obuasi to Kumasi. Throughout this period, McBrown continued to be a supportive friend.
Brobbey also shared that her decision to quit teaching was not well-received by her father. To balance things out, she enrolled at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) to pursue a degree.

During her time at GIMPA, McBrown’s support remained strong. Brobbey fondly remembered how McBrown made a beautiful dress for her graduation and attended the ceremony with other actors to support her. “I will never forget what she did for me,” Brobbey said with deep gratitude.
The actress expressed profound gratitude for McBrown’s selfless acts and commended her for consistently looking out for those close to her.
