Miss Trudy, the wife of popular YouTuber Wode Maya, has spoken out to clear up the swirling divorce rumors and harsh criticism directed at her husband.
The controversy erupted after she shared her feelings in a podcast, revealing that Wode Maya no longer wants to travel with her as often.

In the podcast with Konnected Minds, Miss Trudy shared her feelings after Wode Maya said he couldn’t travel with her anymore. She described feeling heartbroken and devastated, wondering if he still loved her or if she was a burden. She shared how his absence left her feeling lost, as he had always been a guiding force in her life.
Her emotional remarks led to a wave of attacks and threats from her fans, especially from Kenyans, who seemed to take her comments as a serious critique of Wode Maya. As the backlash intensified, Miss Trudy decided to address the issue directly through her YouTube channel.
In her video, Miss Trudy said, “I have been receiving phone calls from people who have been asking me what is really happening between me and Maya. The truth is that everything happening on the internet has actually caught me by surprise because I did not see it coming. I honestly did not see it coming. I am just in shock.”
She continued, “I did an interview, and we talked about so many things. I was only trying to be honest about what was happening in my life. He asked me a couple of questions, and I answered truthfully. He asked whether we spend enough time together, and I said no, because that’s the truth. But people took this out of context. He asked how I was doing, and I said I was depressed. We all get depressed, don’t we? I was only trying to portray that my life isn’t perfect.”

Miss Trudy expressed concern over the unfair attacks on her husband, insisting that Wode Maya is not a bad person. “I don’t want my honesty to make Wode look like a villain. Now Maya is being attacked from all sides. I know you care for me a lot, but Maya isn’t an evil person,” she said.
Addressing rumors of a potential divorce, Miss Trudy reassured her followers that their marriage is not in jeopardy. “We are not on the verge of divorce, despite what people are saying. Things are not as bad as they seem,” she clarified.
