NDC to Unveil 2024 Manifesto in a Grand Launch Event in Winneba on August 24

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is preparing for a major political event this weekend as it officially launches its 2024 election manifesto.

The highly anticipated event will take place at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Auditorium, University of Education, Winneba, on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

According to a press release issued by the National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi Esq., the event will begin at 12 noon.

Former President and current NDC Flagbearer, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, will be the Special Guest of Honor, underscoring the importance of this manifesto launch as the party prepares for a competitive election season.

The manifesto, months in the making, is expected to present the party’s comprehensive plan for “resetting and rebuilding Ghana.”

It will cover a range of critical areas, including economic revitalization, social welfare enhancements, educational improvements, healthcare reforms, and governance changes. With the country facing numerous challenges, the NDC aims to offer detailed solutions to steer Ghana towards progress.

The event will be attended by key NDC figures such as members of the National Executive Committee, the Council of Elders, and various Members of Parliament. Parliamentary candidates for the upcoming elections will also be in attendance.

The launch will also welcome distinguished guests from the Diplomatic Corps, Civil Society Organizations, Academia, Labor Organizations, the Clergy, and the Creative Arts sector.

A series of speeches will be delivered by different speakers, each focusing on specific aspects of the manifesto. These addresses are expected to emphasize the party’s commitment to addressing the immediate and long-term needs of Ghanaians.

The NDC is inviting the general public and media representatives to the event. Attendees are asked to be seated by 11 a.m. to ensure the event starts on time. Media outlets wishing to cover the launch should contact the NDC’s National Communications Bureau for accreditation.

As the NDC prepares to unveil its vision for Ghana’s future, the eyes of the nation will be on Winneba this Saturday.

The manifesto launch marks the start of a critical campaign season, with the NDC aiming to regain power and lead Ghana into a new phase of development and growth.
