Ghanaian musician Diana Asamoah delivered a powerful performance at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) manifesto launch, leaving First Lady Samira Bawumia visibly emotional.
The event, held on August 18, 2024, at the Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) in Takoradi, was an important occasion for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as he presented his plans for the upcoming elections.
Diana Asamoah, dressed in all white with a hat, performed a special remixed version of one of her hit songs to support Dr. Bawumia’s campaign.

The lyrics of the song drew a parallel between Dr. Bawumia and the biblical story of David and Goliath, suggesting that with God’s help, Dr. Bawumia could overcome any challenge and win the presidential race.
In the song, which was highlighted in a video shared by EDHUB on X, Asamoah sang: “If God lifted David to kill Goliath, then He can lift someone from Walewale, Dr. Bawumia, all things are possible. With God, my God, all things are possible.”
As Diana Asamoah sang, First Lady Samira Bawumia was seen sitting in the front row, moved to tears by the performance.
She was visibly emotional and used a handkerchief to wipe her eyes, showing the deep impact of the song.
