Ghanaian skit comedian Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi famed as Dr. Likee, recently shared a personal story about his past financial struggles and their impact on his relationship.
In an interview with ZionFelix, Dr. Likee revealed how his then-girlfriend, who was also the mother of his child, decided to leave him due to their financial difficulties.
Dr. Likee shared that during those early days, he frequently came home without any money after his film shoots.

This financial strain led to constant complaints from his partner, who was frustrated by their lack of financial stability.
He recalled, “Back in those days, things were really tough. I’d go on set, work hard, and come back with nothing. She would complain about me not being able to provide for her and our child.”
The comedian also discussed a broader issue affecting many in the entertainment industry: the tendency for partners to leave when financial situations are dire.
Dr. Likee pointed out that often, when a partner leaves, success seems to follow soon after. He referenced the late South African reggae star Lucky Dube, saying,
“When a woman leaves for someone who shows her money, things might start to get better for you. Lucky Dube’s success came after his partner left him.”

Dr. Likee emphasized that such struggles are a familiar challenge for many celebrities, stressing the importance of having strong support and spiritual faith.
“Most stars face these kinds of difficulties. Without the right support and divine guidance, relationships can be really challenging,” he added.
