Esther Smith sets the record straight on relationship with Chef Smith

Ghanaian musician Esther Smith has set the record straight regarding any supposed connection with Chef Smith, the individual known for his Guinness World Record attempt.

In an interview with Abeiku Santana on Accra-based OKAY FM, Esther Smith was clear that she is not related to Chef Smith.

“My father is the one called Smith, who is from Cape Coast. My mother is from Akomadan. I’m an Ashanti because of my mother,” Esther Smith explained.

When asked if she had any family connection with Chef Smith, she made it clear, “Please, I’m not related to Chef Smith in any way. I don’t know him from Adam.”

Chef Smith, also known as Ghanaian Millennium Chef Ebenezer Smith, recently claimed to have achieved a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

According to the citation he provided, Chef Smith had cooked for an impressive 802 hours and 25 minutes.

However, it was later exposed that his record attempt was not recognized by Guinness World Records and was, in fact, a fabrication.

Esther Smith is currently in Ghana for a special twin event after being away from the local music scene for several years.

She will be performing at the Bantama Pentecost Church in Kumasi on August 25 and at the Perez Dome in Accra on August 30, 2024.

Her return to the stage has generated excitement among her fans, who are looking forward to her performances.
