Despite this, she made it clear that her loyalty lies with Ghanaian artists, which influences her choices both musically and professionally.
“I hardly share or promote Nigerian songs on social media because I feel it would be a betrayal to our Ghanaian artists,” McBrown said.
The conversation then shifted to her stance on Nollywood films. McBrown candidly explained that her decision to avoid acting in Nigerian movies stems from a perceived lack of appreciation for Ghanaian entertainment in Nigeria.
She recounted an experience while watching Big Brother Naija, where a DJ abruptly stopped playing a track by Sarkodie after less than a minute, despite her efforts to dance along.
“This incident made me feel that our Ghanaian works are not valued by our Nigerian counterparts. That’s why I choose not to act in Nollywood movies. I don’t feel a strong connection with them,” McBrown explained.
