Ghanaian gospel music group, Team Eternity, has issued an official press statement addressing the passing of one of its lead singers, Nhyira Marfo.
The news of Nhyira’s death shocked many on social media, with a flood of tributes coming from sympathizers and the Ghanaian gospel community.
While the cause of death is not yet known, reports confirm that Nhyira passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

In the wake of this heartbreaking news, Team Eternity has issued a somber press statement, expressing their profound grief.
The ‘Defe Defe’ hitmakers also asked the public to keep them and Nhyira’s family in their thoughts and prayers during this challenging time.
“On Wednesday, 7th August 2024, we received news of the sudden passing of our friend and sister, Nhyira Marfo.
“Grief-stricken and heartbroken as we are, we turn to the Lord from Whom all comfort flows. We trust in Him Who knows the end from the beginning and take refuge in His promise that, ‘…surely I am with you always, to the very end of age’” (Matthew 28:20),” parts of the statement read.
