Popular Ghanaian actress Portia Asare has confirmed the end of her second marriage, which had been the subject of speculation and rumors over the past year.
The actress, who married Raymond Kwaku Marfo in July 2021, has addressed the situation following reports in 2023 suggesting that her marriage had collapsed amid claims about Marfo’s alleged infidelities.

In an interview with Ahodwo TV in August 2024, Portia talked about the divorce. She confirmed that she and Marfo have separated but said she remains positive and strong.
“I am not a quitter. Nothing defeats me except going against the will of God. I am not going to give up just because I’ve been divorced twice. I am not at a disadvantage. The Lord says he will order my steps. He’s the one who tells me where to go,” she said.
Portia also mentioned that she is open to future relationships. “I have a long way to go. I am not ready now, but if marriage comes 10,000 times, I will marry 10,000 times,” she added. This shows that she is hopeful about finding love again, no matter how many times it may come.
This divorce marks Portia Asare’s second. Her first marriage was to Pastor John Wilberforce Aidoo in 2013.

That marriage ended before Portia re-emerged in the public eye in 2019, following a period of personal and professional reflection.
In July 2021, she married Raymond Kwaku Marfo in a highly publicized traditional wedding ceremony, which was celebrated with much fanfare.
