Van Vicker reveals why he wasn’t in LilWin’s ‘A Country Called Ghana’ movie (Video)

Award-winning Ghanaian actor Van Vicker recently addressed the rumors surrounding his absence from LilWin’s film, A Country Called Ghana.

The film, which featured a host of Nigerian actors including Ramsey Nouah, led to speculation that Van Vicker had rejected the role.

However, Van Vicker has come forward to set the record straight. Speaking on Hello FM, Van Vicker addressed the rumors that he had turned down the role.

According to Van Vicker, when LilWin first reached out to him about the role, he was eager to participate. However, LilWin requested that he commit a full month to the film shoot.

At that time he was also juggling his academic studies, which made a one-month commitment challenging.

To accommodate both his academic obligations and the film’s needs, Van Vicker proposed a shorter filming period of ten days.

Unfortunately, LilWin did not agree to this arrangement and insisted on a full 30-day commitment.

After several attempts to negotiate, Van Vicker found that he could not accept the role under those conditions and had to withdraw from the project.

Not long after, LilWin announced that Ramsey Nouah would take on the role.

I told him what I could do was ten days, and if he could do ten days, then I would do the work. Later he said the ten days wouldn’t work. Can you believe that later I saw that Ramsey came to do the work? I was tracking the job, and can you believe Ramsey used ten days to do the job?

I didn’t say I wasn’t going to do the work at all. I gave a counter-proposal. Even if he had come to negotiate an improvement on the days, he could have reached an agreement. The person they brought also did ten days,” he said.
