Ghanaian musician Becca has recently stirred up a storm of controversy after making a comment about her skin tone in a video with actress Fella Makafui.
The video, which was posted on TikTok, shows Fella and Becca standing in front of a large mirror, both dressed in elegant olive-green gowns and sporting long, straight wigs.
In the video, Fella was recording with her iPhone while Becca stood behind her. Becca whispered, “You see I have become white like Obroni.”
Becca then gave Fella a tight hug, and they both laughed loudly, enjoying the moment.

However, this video did not sit well with many Ghanaians. The comments on the video quickly became filled with anger and disappointment.
Many people accused Becca of bleaching her skin, despite her previous statements claiming that filters were responsible for any changes in her complexion.
The video, which was shared on Lupi Love Akuapem Hemaa’s TikTok, also sparked a debate about beauty standards and skin tone in Ghanaian society.
Many viewers are concerned that Becca’s remarks and apparent skin lightening could influence others to make similar changes, despite the criticisms and debates surrounding skin bleaching.
