Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, aka LilWin, has reportedly opted for an “out-of-court” settlement with actress Martha Ankomah over the ₵5 million defamation lawsuit she filed against him.
According to a post by GHOne on its X handle, an Accra High Court was informed of this decision Wednesday, 31 July 2024, the same day the case was scheduled for a hearing.

This update follows a Case Management Conference held on 25 July, where the judge, Justice Forson Agyapong Baah, had ordered LilWin to be notified of the hearing and court notes, as he was absent and unrepresented at the previous session.
The lawsuit stemmed from LilWin’s response to comments made by Ankomah on Accra FM, where she stated her reluctance to work with Kumawood actors because of their storylines.
LilWin responded with a video full of insults directed at Ankomah, which prompted her to file the defamation suit.

Ankomah claims that these remarks damaged both her personal reputation and that of the textile brand GTP.
She is seeking ₵5 million in damages, which includes compensatory and aggravated damages, along with a public apology, a retraction of the statements, and an injunction to stop any further defamatory remarks.
LilWin is also facing another legal case related to a car accident that resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy.
As of now, he has not publicly addressed the latest development in his legal battle with Ankomah.
