Veteran Ghanaian actor Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo, has fired back at those who criticize him for being illiterate.
Despite not having formal education, Agya Koo insists he is just as smart, if not smarter, than those who mock him.

In a video posted on his official X account, Agya Koo confidently said, “I’m far more educated and more intelligent than those saying I’m illiterate.”
In the video, the actor is casually eating a bowl of what appears to be fruit salad, addressing the negative comments about his education with a relaxed demeanor.
He starts by acknowledging the recent insults. “Lately, I keep hearing people say that Agya Koo is an illiterate, that I am an illiterate, and many other things,” he says.
Agya Koo then explains that being smart isn’t just about formal schooling. “Yes, I am an illiterate but very smart and equal to some of you,” he argues.
To make his point, he uses a simple analogy. “Look at me eating; when I pick the food, do I put it in my eyes or ears?”

This response comes after Agya recently made headlines for leaving a live performance abruptly.
The incident happened when someone at the event praised former president and National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Mahama.
