Nigerian afrobeats star Rema, is once again making headlines amid reports that he will perform at Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani’s son’s wedding party.
The son of Ambani, the ninth richest man in the world, Anant, is getting set to marry his longtime girlfriend, Radhika Merchant, at what has been described as the wedding of the year.
According to Hindustan Times, Rema is charging $3 million to perform his global hit song ‘Calm Down’ at the event.
Last night on Instagram, the Nigerian singer shared a video of himself walking toward a private chartered plane.
He was dressed in all-black attire with his face obscured by a black cloth. The singer added his latest hit Azaman as background music and posted an emoji of an Indian tri-colour.
Additionally, a viral video on Thursday captured his arrival in India ahead of the wedding ceremony.
The wedding celebration also features performances by other international superstars. Canadian singer Justin Bieber reportedly received $10 million for his performance, while pop icon Rihanna also graced the stage for an undisclosed fee.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to marry on July 12 at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).

This four-day wedding extravaganza marks the culmination of a series of lavish celebrations hosted by the families since March.
The guest list for the wedding includes a host of high-profile figures such as Kim Kardashian, former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, former US Secretary of State John Kerry, former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, and former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, among others.
