Ghana’s Afro-dancehall king, Stonebwoy, once again asserted his prowess on the international stage with a mesmerizing performance at Germany’s renowned Summerjam Festival.
The annual event, celebrated for its eclectic blend of reggae, dancehall, and world music, provided the perfect backdrop for Stonebwoy to showcase his electrifying talents.
The African star took to the stage promptly at 4:30 p.m., beginning his set with a performance of “Overlord.” This 2023 single, a tribute to his reggae and dancehall roots, was well-received by his German audience.

It was his first official release of 2023, following his album “5th Dimension.” From there, 1 GAD delivered a series of classic hits, including “Run Go” from 2015, “People Dey” from 2016, his collaboration with Davido titled “Activate,” and his recent single “Your Body,” which has been praised as the perfect summer anthem for the festival.
Stonebwoy dedicated the early part of his set to the legendary reggae icon Bob Marley, performing “Praise Jah in the Moonlight” and his verse on the “Buffalo Soldier” remix, before swiftly transitioning through fan favorites like “Hero,” “Apotheke” featuring DJ Maphorisa, “Non-Stop,” and “Life & Money.”
Stonebwoy’s appearance at Summerjam marked his third performance at the festival, following his historic debut in 2018 and a memorable headline set in 2022.
Known for his impeccable musicianship in reggae, dancehall, and afrobeats, as well as his unparalleled stage presence, Stonebwoy dominated the stage and crafted the unique atmosphere that has made the festival renowned and cherished globally, delivering exceptional performance in celebration of the festival’s 37th anniversary.

His performance came on the heels of his recent activities in Europe, which included attending Paris Fashion Week and an exclusive recording session with the legendary Wyclef Jean in London. He also released his new single “Your Body,” a vibrant visual narrative that celebrates African beauty, self-love, and body positivity.
