Jubilation as Afronita and Abigail qualify for Britain’s Got Talent finals [Video]

Ghanaian dancers Afronita and Abigail Dromo have advanced to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent, marking a significant achievement in their electrifying journey on the show.

Britain’s Got Talent announced the semifinalists on their official Instagram page, with Afronita and Abigail being the first act featured in the video, showcasing their electrifying audition performance.

“Unbelievable” was the word judge Amanda Holden used to describe Ghanaian dancers Afronita and Abigail’s semi-final performance on the 2024 Britain’s Got Talent.

The duo delivered an electrifying routine that left both the audience and judges in awe, showcasing their extraordinary talent and expressing their Ghanaian heritage.

Afronita and Abigail performed a medley of popular hits, including Fuse ODG’s “Azonto,” Beyoncé’s “Run The World,” and Toofan’s “Gweta” among others.

Their performance earned them a standing ovation, leaving the crowd excitedly showering them with praise even during the judges’ evaluation statements.

“Looking at you makes me happy, you really are a tonic for the spirit. Your individual style of dancing is so unique and beautiful, your musicality is out of this world and your personality really shines through. Love you, love you,” judge Bruno Tonioli told them.

Even the notoriously tough judge Simon Cowell praised Afronita and Abigail, stating, “When you’ve got it, you’ve got it.”

He noted that the Ghanaian dancers left him stumped and, although he was certain who would win the competition a day before, their mesmerizing routine had him questioning his prediction.

Afronita after the competition said she felt blessed to have made it thus far.

She added “This is a big testimony for me, for Abigail, for Ghana and for everyone that supports us. We are so grateful. It’s been so emotional…thanks to God and everyone.”
