Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, famed as Wizkid, has hit hard at music executive, Don Jazzy while reacting to shade fired at him by Mavin signee, Ladipoe.
Ladipoe, a rapper signed to Don Jazzy’s label, recently mocked Wizkid for his controversial “hip hop is dead” statement.

“Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own,” Ladipoe wrote via X.
Recall that in December 2022, in an interview with 10 Magazine, a British luxury quarterly publication, Wizkid asserted that the Afrobeats genre was innovative, as opposed to rap music, which he said was boring.
This ignited the narrative about the rap genre being dead and unworthy of an audience.
Netizens connected the dots to Ladipoe’s tweet, which made them ask Wizkid, who now doesn’t want to be identified as an Afrobeats.

A fan called Wizkid’s attention to the shade on Monday morning but the Starboy boss said, “lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”
He also retweeted two tweets suggesting that he was referring to Don Jazzy as a social media influencer.
