Kacey Lee Musgraves is an American country singer.
Born and raised in Golden, Texas, US, she started playing music when she was 8 years old. Ever since she was a child, she was heavily influenced by country music.
She later took guitar lessons too. Her parents stood by her throughout her formative years while she grew as a musician. Her parents also funded her debut self-released album. She had her first stint with fame in 2007, when she participated in the singing reality show ‘Nashville Star.
In 2012, she was signed by ‘Mercury Nashville’ on a contract. She released her debut studio album in 2013. Titled ‘Same Trailer Different Park,’ the album won a ‘Grammy Award’ for the ‘Best Country Album.’ Several singles from the album topped the music charts.
In 2018, Musgraves released her fourth studio album, Golden Hour which received widespread critical acclaim and won her four Grammy Awards, including those for the Best Country Album and the Album of the Year Award.
Golden Hour’ also won a ‘Country Music Association Album of the Year award and an ‘Academy of Country Music award.
Throughout her career, Musgraves has won seven Grammy Awards, seven Country Music Association Awards, and three Academy of Country Music Awards.

Kacey Musgraves was born August 21, 1988, in Golden, Texas, to Craig and Karen (née Abrams) Musgraves.
Craig is the owner of a small printing business, M-Prints Printing, Inc., in Mineola, Texas, and Karen Musgraves is an artist.

On July 2020, Kacey and Ruston announced they had filed for divorce. The couple issued a joint statement confirming their intent to end their two-year-old marriage.
