Amy Robach is an American television reporter formerly for ABC News. She is known as co-anchor of 20/20 and as the breaking news anchor/fill-in anchor for Good Morning America. Robach first entered national television by working for NBC News from August 2003 to May 2012.

She served as a national correspondent for NBC News from 2003 to 2007 and became co-host of the Saturday edition of NBC’s Today as well as anchor on MSNBC from 2007 to 2012.

From May 2012 to January 2023, Robach worked for ABC News. She was a contributor for Good Morning America from May 2012 until March 2020, when she became the host of Pandemic: What You Need to Know, a show created in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The show would later become GMA3: What You Need to Know, which she co-hosted from September 2020 to December 2022. Robach also served as co-anchor of 20/20 alongside David Muir from May 2018 until January 2023.

Amy Joanne Robach was born in St. Joseph, Michigan, on February 6, 1973. She celebrated her 50th birthday in 2023.

She grew up in East Lansing, Michigan before her family moved to St. Louis, Missouri while she was in elementary school. Just before high school, her family moved again to Georgia. She attended Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia and then enrolled at the University of Georgia.

She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, receiving high honors due to her grades. While in college, she also competed in various beauty pageants and made it all the way to the 1995 Miss Georgia pageant, where she was the 4th runner-up.

Robach became engaged to former Melrose Place star Andrew Shue in September 2009. They were married on her 37th birthday, February 6, 2010, at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, adjacent to the Hudson River.

It was reported they separated in August 2022, after it was discovered Robach was having a relationship with her GMA3 co-anchor T. J. Holmes. The divorce was reportedly finalized in March 2023.

Amy Robach has two daughters, Anna McIntosh and Ava McIntosh, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Tim McIntosh.

Ava is Robach’s eldest daughter, born on Dec. 29, 2002. In celebration of her 19th birthday, the proud mom posted a sweet tribute to Instagram in honor of her special day.

“To the first girl I fell madly in love with at first sight! Happy 19th birthday Ava Lou – I’m so proud to be your mama – and love celebrating the woman you are today and everyday!!,” wrote Robach.

Annalise is Robach’s youngest daughter, born on May 10, 2006. In celebration of her 16th birthday, the mom of two wrote a heartfelt note on Instagram in celebration.

“My sweet girl is sweet 16 today!!,” Robach wrote in May 2022 alongside a throwback photo of Annalise. “Happy birthday Annalise – my Annie – had to fight back tears as I looked at your birthday pics from over the past few years!”

She continued, “You’ve grown into such a smart, fierce, loyal and beautiful woman … I love you and am so proud to be your mom 💕.”
