Who was Gary Graham married to? All about his wife and kids as ‘Star Trek’ actor dies aged 73

Gary Graham, best known for his role in Star Trek: Enterprise, died on Monday. He was 73.

Graham died of cardiac arrest at a hospital in Spokane, Washington on Monday, his wife of nearly 25 years, Becky Graham, told the Hollywood Reporter.

Who was Gary Graham?

Graham is best known for his role as Ocampan community leader Tanis on “Star Trek: Voyager,” as Vulcan ambassador Soval on “Star Trek: Enterprise” and as First Officer Ragnar in “Star Trek: Of Gods and Men” and “Star Trek: Renegades.”

He also played Detective Matthew Sikes in the television series “Alien Nation” in 1989. He resumed the role in five subsequent television movies: “Alien Nation: Dark Horizon” (1994), “Alien Nation: Body and Soul” (1995), “Alien Nation: Millennium” (1996), “Alien Nation: The Enemy Within” (1996), and “Alien Nation: The Udara Legacy” (1997).

The veteran actor’s ex-wife, Susan Lavelle, also announced his death with a touching tribute on Facebook.

“It is with deep profound sadness to say that Gary Graham, my ex husband, amazing actor and father of our beautiful only child together, Haylee Graham, has passed away today,” she began. “We are completely devastated especially our daughter. . . His wife, Becky was by his side.”

“I met Gary when I was just 20 years old and he was one half of the star duo on the tv series, ‘Alien Nation,’ ” Lavelle continued. “But he had already been in movies like ‘All the Right Moves’ with Tom Cruise. Of course, Gary has many more credits.”

Lavelle concluded the post by asking for prayers for their daughter during this difficult time.

“Gary was funny, sarcastic sense of humor but kind, fought for what he believed in, a devout Christian and was so proud of his daughter, Haylee,” she said. “This was sudden so please pray for our daughter as she navigates through this thing called grief.”

“Fly high into the heavens Gar!” Lavelle wrote. “Thank you for our journey and thank you for the gifts you left me in acting, my love of horses and most importantly, our daughter.”

Who was Gary Graham married to?

Gary Graham has been married three times throughout his life. His current wife is Becky Hopkins, whom he married on March 30, 1999.

Prior to Becky, he was married to Diane Patricia Vaughan from March 24, 1979, but unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce.

Before Diane, he was married to Caren Leslie Williams from February 14, 1970, until December 1975, when they also divorced. Additionally, Gary was previously married to Susan Graham.

Gary Graham had a single child – a daughter named Haylee Graham, who is not only an actress but also a writer. Haylee Graham happens to be his daughter from his former spouse, Susan Lavelle.

Haylee is a book author based in Los Angeles, California. According to her LinkedIn, Haylee wrote: “My short speed-film that I wrote and produced called ‘Planted’ won the international 168 Film Festival.”

She has also written four young adult books and is published in the 2013 book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Find Your Inner Strength.

Moments before her father’s death, Haylee took to Instagram to post a tribute to the late actor.

Haylee wrote: My dad is being taken off life support soon…I appreciate everyone reaching out and your sympathies…thank you so much…but I ask that everyone instead just take this opportunity, this very moment, to tell your parents you love them.

“My dad had so much more he wanted to do but I rest in the fact that he will be in the eternal kingdom and have much more to do there.

“I am praising God in my grief and am so grateful that he afforded me the opportunity to give my dad, a lifelong actor, his last role in “Planted” a film that I wrote. I will post in more length when I am able but for now this is all I can muster.”
