Biden was born to Donald Carl Jacobs and Bonny Jean Jacobs. She happens to be the oldest of five sisters born to her parents.
She was raised in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, and moved to Mahwah, New Jersey, when she was eight years old with her family. The Mahwah Savings and Loan Association’s CEO was her father.
The Jacobs family relocated to Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, a Philadelphia suburb, in 1961, and Donald Jacobs became the helm of InterCounty Savings and Loan in the city’s Chestnut Hill district, serving in that capacity for 20 years.
