Her family and friends have described her as a loving, caring, and compassionate person. Gracie always went above and beyond to help others and had a heart of gold.
She was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, and cousin who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Gracie was an active school community member, participating in Chorus and the FFA. She was a dedicated and hardworking employee of Hardin County Skateland and the Meade County Farmer’s Market.
She even owned her business, Soy Wonders, which she was incredibly proud of. Gracie’s zest for life and her infectious smile touched everyone who met her.
Gracie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Danny Eugene Prater, Sr., and several aunts and uncles.

According to The Gracie Kayden obituary, the visitation took place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Radiant Church in Brandenburg, KY.
The community has rallied around Gracie’s family during this difficult time, offering their condolences and support.
Another visitation was held on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
On May 19, 2022, the funeral service for Gracie Kayden Prater was conducted at 1:00 PM in Radiant Church, followed by her burial in Cap Anderson Cemetery.
Gracie Kayden Prater, who tragically passed away at the age of 16 due to injuries sustained in a car accident, is survived by a loving family.
Her parents, Mike Prater, and Gena Bostic Prater are joined by her grandparents, Bobby and Anna Bostic, Linda, Doug Lewis, Dee Taylor, and Tom Reesor.
In addition to her family, Gracie is survived by her uncle, Danny Eugene Prater, Jr., her aunt, Jamie Rae Bostic, and her cousins, Jacob and Christopher Gore. Each of them will miss her dearly and remember her fondly.
