American football running back, Joseph Tyler Mixon or Joe Mixon was born on July 24th, 1996 in Oakley, California in the United States of America.
Mixon is a member of the National Football League’s Cincinnati Bengals (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma and was chosen by the Bengals in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was named to the first team of the Big 12 during his time there. As a member of the group that advanced to Super Bowl LVI in 2021, Mixon earned Pro Bowl honors.
The Cincinnati Bengals selected Mixon in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft (48th overall). He was chosen in the fourth round of the draft for running backs that year.

Mixon shares the same parents with his five other siblings; three sisters and two brothers. They were all raised single-handedly by their other, Alise Smith. Mixon stands at a height of 1.85 m tall and weighs 100kg.
Mixon played basketball and football for the Falcons at Freedom High School. He started three seasons at running back for the football squad of Freedom High School.
He has 171 carries for 1,134 yards and 13 touchdowns as a sophomore. He carried the ball 201 times for 1,443 yards and 21 touchdowns in his junior season. He carried the ball 226 times for 1,704 yards and 23 touchdowns in his final season.
For the Falcons, Mixon participated in 16 basketball games. He averaged 12.2 points per game, shot 57% of his free throws, and made 79 field goals. That season, his club finished 10-0 in league play and 22-2 overall.
The Rivals.com recruiting network rated Mixon as a five-star recruit and the top running back in the country. He made his college football commitment to the University of Oklahoma in January 2014.

He had 47 offers but finally decided to go with Oklahoma instead of Alabama, California, Wisconsin, and UCLA. From 2014 to 2016, Joe Mixon attended and played college football for the University of Oklahoma. After being charged with a minor assault in October 2014, he was barred from playing for the Oklahoma football team 2014.
