Bad blood appears to be brewing between reggae and dancehall artiste Sizzla Kalonji and longtime collaborator, American record producer DJ Khaled.
Sizzla, has got music lovers in shock over his recent outburst that witnessed him setting on fire the platinum plaques he earned based on his feature on DJ Khaled’s album titled ‘Father of Asahd’.
The top charting album released back on May 17, 2019, was Khaled’s eleventh studio album.

Sizzla together with Buju Banton, Mavado, 070 Shake were featured on ‘Holy Mountain’, one of the popular songs on the 2019 album.
On December 8, the reggae artiste published disturbing videos that captured him burning all the platinum plaques he received from the album.
He kept on repeating that the American producer had disrespected him and his country Jamaica.
Tearing the face of Khaled’s eldest son Ashad from the plaques, Kalonji declared that “babies are innocent” before proceeding to throw gasoline on the rest of the material.

Referring to the child as his God child, the ‘Run Out Pan Dem’ deejay said he’d rather accept the photos of Khaled’s son as his plaques than the commemorative displays sent by the Recording Industry Association of America.
“Yuh insult me DJ Khαled. Yuh insult Jamaica. Babies are innocent. Ashad a di boss,” the deejay can be heard saying in the videos.
The footage has triggered a lot of discussions on social media, with users expressing shock at the reggae singer’s action.
Some users believe Kalonji went overboard and said he should consider that DJ Khaled is one of the few international artistes who extensively feature Jamaican acts on projects.
