Legendary Nollywood actress Rachel Oniga has finally been buried. The film star was laid to rest on Friday, August 27.
The talented actress passed away at the age of 64 on Friday, July 30, 2021, after a battle with a heart-related illness.
A lying-in-state ceremony had earlier been held for the actress at the Catholic Church of Resurrection, Magodo Estate, Lagos.

Her remains were later committed to mother earth at a private cemetery in Lagos.
Photos and videos from the burial ceremony of the actress have been spotted online. Oniga’s family were seen in matching gold outfits as they bade farewell to their loved one.

The video below shows the family and friends of the late actress at her lying-in-state. Due to the COVID-19 protocols, a lot of people could not be at the event.
Oniga began her career in 1993, starring in the blockbuster movie, Onome. In the Yoruba sector of Nollywood, the actress starred in the hit movie, Owo Blow.
The recent movies she starred in include The Wedding Party, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, 30 Days in Atlanta, Sango, Out of Bounds, among others.
