UK-based Ghanaian singer Stephanie Benson, also known as Princess Akua Ohenewaa Asieanem has also waded into the talks surrounding the recent rape cases in Nigeria .
There is widespread outrage in Nigeria following the murder of a 22-year-old university student in a church where she was studying in the southern city of Benin.

The family of Uwavera Omozuwa, known as Uwa, say she was brutally raped and bludgeoned to death.
It is one of several shocking cases in the past week which have led to street protests, an online petition signed by thousands and a Twitter hashtag #WeAreTired .
In light of these occurrences, some popular female celebrities who have been agitating on social media took the fight for justice to the streets of Lagos and Abuja in a bid to protest against the continuous cases of s£xual abuse against women.
Just as the ‘no means no’ campaign against women being raped, Stephanie Benson is saying that erection doesn’t mean a man has given his consent to have sex too and that must be respected.
The 49-years old stated that it is not only ladies who suffer sexual abuse adding that men also suffer the same fate.
Taking to her Instagram handle, she stated that a lot of men have confided in her about how they were raped and the toll it has had on them.

“Men DM me all the time suffering from depression, and suicidal thoughts, because of Rape. Let’s give it the attention it deserves as well,” she wrote to a video of herself explaining the worrying issue.
