Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has taken to social media to react to the rape and killing of two Nigerian girls, Tina Ezekwe and Uwa Omozua.
Tina Ezekwe was killed by a police officer and Vera Uwa Omozuwa was raped and murdered inside a church in University of Benin.

Genevieve Nnaji shared on her Twitter a tweet lamenting the deaths of Tina Ezekwe and Vera Omozuwa and people seem to have a problem with how the tweet is worded.
The Nollywood actress shared photos of Tina and Uwa wrote: “They either abuse their power, or have the power to abuse. In or out of uniform, we live in constant fear of men. Tina Ezekwe. Vera Omozuwa. Rest In Peace my darlings. We will get justice.”

However, it appears her tweet didn’t sit well with some people who believe she was turning the issue into a war against men.
According to them, generalizing was unfair and her tweet should have come out differently.
Others however, felt only those who were guilty of what she said, would be annoyed by her tweet which they believe was well put.

This isn't a war with men
The individuals responsible needs to be dealt with thoroughly
It's an animalistic behaviour that should be condemned and the perpetrators brought to book
Nevertheless don't turn this to a gender war. A lot of men also suffer in the hands if women

why r the men under this thread deliberately obtuse and daft?? we are afraid of men! all men!we are in constant danger. we don’t see a man behind us and think “some men” or “maybe he’s not part of the evil men” bc times without number men have proved how much of a danger they’re!

Now it's about men. It isn't about the incivility of a pack of pricks anymore. It's become about men. I'm a man and not a rapist. My father is one too and has never raped anyone. My kid brothers are men and we are not rapists. These generalizations breed nothing but hate.

You don't build a philosophy or an ideology based on a personal experience. Mary would have written a book titled 'You Don't need men to conceive'.
