Bullet to terminate Fantana’s contract with RuffTown Records amid ‘beef’ with Wendy Shay

The management of Rufftown Records has written to musician Francine Nyanko Koffi, popularly known as Fantana, to request a meeting to discuss her future at the record label.

CEO of RufTown Records, Ricky Nana Agyemang, also known as Bullet in a letter hinting the termination of Fantana’s contract, said management reached the decision after she engaged in a feud with her label mate, Wendy Shay.

It all started when Fantana in a recent interview said that Wendy Shay did not really have hit songs or works that can give her international recognition.

She went on to tag the ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker as a local champion.

Wendy, who did not appreciate the words her label mate took to her Instagram page to call out, “the ‘Girls Hate on Girls’ singer for only creating news but not hit songs” . she wrote.

She also wrote some words in German which did not sit well with Fantana.

Mit große Zähne macht man keine Hitsongs…Ich mach Kohle Und scheiß auf euch alle” which means “You don’t make hit songs with big teeth…I make coal and sh*t on all of you.”

Fanata immediately went on Instagram to address the issue calling Wendy “Uncle Shay” in her response.

She also went live on Instagram to call out the ‘All for You’ singer for talking about her teeth – something she was bullied for when she was a kid.

B…h, f..k you…I’m mad, I’m mad I take my teeth very personal so anyone that gonna talk about my teeth I’ll be mad…you don’t even have balls because you insulted me in German,” Fantana said.

In her rants, Fantana also said she does not want anything to do with the label nor their songs.

In the letter dated 17 May, Ricky Nana Agyeman aka Bullet – said the artiste’s comment “seeks to dint the hard-earned reputation of the company within the music industry” and would not be condoned.

The meeting for the contract termination talks is scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2020, at the office of Ruftown Records located at East Legon.

The time for this meeting is 1 PM.
