Ghana panics as 10 food vendors, 3 taxi drivers test positive for COVID-19

There is a panic at the Achimota Hospital following the revelation that 10 food vendors and three taxi drivers have tested positive for COVID-19

The cases were confirmed after the hospital decided to conduct mass testing for individuals who do business within the hospital community.

Samples were taken to the Noguchi Memorial Centre and they tested positive.

Fear has already hit the medical practitioners and paramedics who work at the hospital.

The source added that the current situation might lead to the closure of the hospital since majority of the employees buy food from the food vendors, whilst 80 percent of the patients use taxis that ply the hospital route.

Meanwhile, nurses and other paramedics of the hospital are currently undergoing compulsory testing for COVID-19.
