The Nigerian government has directed citizens to stay at home in order to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Some states like Lagos, Ogun and even the Federal Capital Territory have been asked to ban all movement as COVID-19 continues to spread with an increase in the number of cases.
Popular Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to provide relief funds for Nigerians during the lockdown.

Due to this lockdown, many Nigerians who make their livelihood by going out each day would find it hard to survive during this time, but to contain and hopefully eradicate the virus, drastic measures have to be taken.
He recommended that the president provides N50,000 each for Nigerians to help them survive the period.
According to him, people are hungry and they are in lockdown with no money.
He asked the president to urgently release at least N50k to every Nigerian to survive the lockdown.

Yul Edochie also stated that it is difficult for people to stay at home when they don’t have money.
