Nigerian superstar singer David Adeleke AKA Davido has issued a statement after a video of him promoting an event by Commonwealth of Zion Assembly went viral.
All hell was let loose on social media last night when a supposed advert by COZA featuring Davido found its way on the internet. This supposed advert caused a lot of uproar, making fans condemn Davido for associating with a church that its pastor had a serious rape case with the wife of a music colleague.

This uproar has now led Davido to quickly releasing a statement via his social media pages telling everyone he never made an advert for COZA.
The singer in a post on twitter stated that he did the video for a little girl who was introduced to him as a fan and had no idea that the video was going to be used to promote their event.
In the video, Davido was seen sitting next to a little girl and her mother while saying that he puts God first in everything he does as a musician.

Davido in his statement called the action of COZA disrespectful and fraudulent and has demanded that the video be pulled down immediately.
Davido also noted that he is in no way associated with the church and should the video not be retracted, he will take legal action.
