Nigerian Actor Yul Edochie speaks against outrageous spending on funeral ceremony. The award winning actor who was recently involved in an almost fatal accident in 2019, seem to have drawn more closer to God.
He has since been known to post on social media advicing people to build a good relationship with God and forget about earthly possessions. In a recent post however, he speaks against spending too much money on funerals.

He went ahead to share an encounter with a friend who even went as far as borrowing a huge sum of money just to bury a close relative. According to him, some family members won’t support you financially but will make huge budget for your funeral expenses.
He claims it is a show off and that they should rather celebrate people when they are alive. This does not come as a surprise as it is a common practice in most African countries.
