Meet Bamfo, the Akim-Oda boy who entered University of Ghana at age 12

The wish of every parent in this world is to see their children prosper in life and also have a good education.

However, the story of a 12-year-old boy, Viemens Bamfo will inspire many people today.

In Ghana, the age limit to start university education is from 17 but Viemens has proven he has got the brain to start his tertiary education at age 12.

Viemens has been offered a long-distance course in Public Administration.

He is the youngest among the over 2900 fresh students who were matriculated over the weekend by the university.

He was home-schooled by his father after his lower primary education in Akyem-Oda in the Eastern Region.

He wrote and passed the West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) as a private candidate.

He is the second child in his family who has experienced home-tuition from his father; his elder brother, Edwin Bamfo, has graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) as an Environmental Scientist at the age of twenty.

Viemens in an interview with Accra based Citi TV revealed how he managed to pass his examination
