Nearly similar to most grass to grace stories, a resilient US-based Ghanaian native, Agbeko Odione Kumordzie, has shared an inspiring story about his humble beginning and how he resolved to turn the tables in his favour.
Agbeko Odione Kumaordzie details his story in a soul touching manner about his difficult childhood while he lived with his mother in rented chamber and hall house in Klikor Agbozume in the Volta region.

Then a toddler, Agbeko recounts how his single mother struggled to take care of him and three other siblings in the poor rented house.
However, resilient young Agbeko resolved to study and complete his O level in 1993 and would soldier on to finish his A level in the same house.
Despite the daunting discomfort, Agbeko would thrive amid the setbacks to make lemonade out of life’s bitter lemons offered him while growing up.

After completing his A level at Adisadel College in 1995, Agbeko pursued his tertiary education at the University of Cape Coast and soon after graduating, the charcoal seller’s son began to ”wear white”.
Agbego’s journey to a better life would begin to take shape as he begins to align with his destiny.
He moved to the United States and currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland in the US with an established and thriving career.
The former charcoal seller’s son took to social media to inspire with his personal story in a popular Facebook group.

He continued his soul touching story: ”Oh.. this is where my mother sold charcoal to raise us.
This is where l bid my mother goodbye in 99 to the United States of America.
