While students are expected to study hard to obtained the best grades during and after they complete school, scoring all As is an achievement that ought to be celebrated and Nana Adwoa, a student from Wesley Girls finished WASSCE with 8As.
Despite the herculean challenge STEM subjects pose to many students, 17-year-old Nana Adwoa, pulled it off with 8As in all eight subjects including Elective Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Elective Mathematics.

And while the journey to obtaining this feat wasn’t easy, Newman Nana Adwoa makes it look like a walk in the park.
She has signaled that she wants to study at Ashesi University, one of Ghana’s globally revered engineering tertiary institutions. Or Massachusetts Institute as an alternative.
‘‘I have always dreamt of being one of the successful women in the world, making an impact and leaving a legacy. I am from a strict and discipline Baptist home and growing up the Bible and my text books have been my best friends,’’ brilliant Nana Adwoa said of what inspired her result.

She continued: ‘‘My parents and grandmother always encouraged me to study and pass my papers and by the help of God I have passed my WASSCE with distinction.’’
Nana Adwoa also attributed her unmatched grades to the support she received from her colleagues while in Wesley Girls’ High School. And the constant firm instructions of her guardian, Samuel Wordui, who served as a great inspiration to her.
Certainly, Nana Adwoa has become a beaming light and source of positive guide for young girls her age to attain higher feats and make history worth celebrating.
