Prophet Badu Kobi’s wife Gloria Badu Kobi, has spoken amid her husband’s backlash over his claim that Asante women are greedy.
The head pastor of Glorious Wave International Church, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has come under fire from social media users after his bizarre comments about the temperaments of Ghanaian women in marriage.

The Pastor in what appears to be a sermon makes claims about the personalities and attitudes of women from three Ghanaian tribes which he claimed to have gathered after years of research.
Badu Kobi, in a recent video , suggested that Asante women are greedy, Fante women are foolish, and Ewe women are like doormats.
“When you marry an Ashanti lady eh, you have imported problems… I am telling you the truth.
“I have done research over the years, Ashanti woman! Though, Fanti ladies sometimes are foolish but Ashanti no.
“Ayigbe (Ewe) women are too much of doormats but Ashanti’s their eyes red. Looking for property, looking for things to carry back. Their mother is at the corner influencing everything”. He said
Badu Kobi’s statements deemed by many as tribalistic has triggered a lot of reactions from a section of Ghanaians with condemning him.

Speaking in an interview amid the backlash, Mrs Badu Kobi has indicated that Ghanaians are attacking her husband because they do not understand.
According to Mama Gloria, Ghanaians do not really understand the ways of her husband, Prophet Badu Kobi.
Mama Gloria stated that her husband is not just a normal human being but is embodied in the spirit of God.
“Ghanaians do not understand him. I always tell people who come close to him that they should always learn something from him because he will change their lives positively,” she stated in an interview on KOFI TV.
“People see him as a normal human being but as for me, I know Jesus Christ is in him. Most of his prophecies he made even before we got married all came into reality.
I am not surprised over some things he says because I am used to it and I know that everything he says will come to pass”, Mama Gloria cautioned.
