Two radio stations in Accra, Radio Gold and Radio XYZ have gone off air.
The National Communications Authority (NCA) on Thursday closed the two radios stations for defaulting in renewing their licenses.
Radio Gold and Radio XYZ, both are known to be affiliated to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
However, Video recording of how the National Security Operatives invaded the promises of Radio XYZ to shut down the station has surfaced online .

Meanwhile, the Ghana Independence Broadcasters Association-GIBA has described the decision of the National Communication Authority to shut down Radio Gold and Radio XYZ, as too harsh.
President of the association, Andrew Danso Anninkora, said on Joy News’ TopStory Thursday, May 9 that, the way out to resolve the impasse is “not the recitation of laws but dialogue.”
“The NCA is being harsh in dealing with its members. NCA in recent times is applying very harsh methods,”
