Mr. Kyere Collins, a farmer in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono region, has donated 20,000 tubers of yam to support the Free Senior High School Programme.
The farmer revealed that one of the components of the Free SHS program is feeding and has therefore decided to help feed students in senior high schools.

According to Mr. Kyere this gesture of his is aimed at helping the policy become sustainable.
“The Free Senior High School programme is a nice initiative by the government, the least we can do is to support it. This is my contribution towards the programme and I promise to give more next year.” he said.
The Bono Region Free Senior High School Coordinator, Mr. Kusi Boadum who received the yams on behalf of the secretariat was full praise for the farmer.
He promised that the yams will be evenly distributed to the various schools and charged other individuals to emulate same.
