Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama and his wife, Lordina Mahama have welcomed their first grandson.
This follows the birth of a baby the former president has described as his grandson.
Taking to social media to announce the birth of the baby boy, Mahama shared photos of himself and the former first lady with the newly born.

In one of the photos, the former president could be seen in white sitting besides the baby who was sleeping in a glass court the at the hospital.
“Grand daddy duties. Welcome Nhyira. Congrats Mr. & Mrs Nana Kofi Gaisie,” Mahama captioned the photo on Instagram.

The other photo had the former first lady carrying the baby in her arms as she excitedly gazed at him. This time, the photo was captioned: “Our ‘daughter’, Yaka, delivered a bouncing baby boy today. Nhyira, welcome to the world.”
Looking at the captions for the two beautiful photos, the newly-born baby, given the name Nhyira, was born by one Yaka, a lady Mahama and his wife consider as their daughter.
