Ghanaian songstress Sista Afia joined in celebrating the Black Princesses of Ghana after their 2-1 victory over Nigeria in the women’s football finals of the 13th African Games 2023.
Ghana’s Black Princesses in a dramatic comeback, beat Nigeria’s Falconets to clinch gold in the ongoing African Games.
Ghana was initially down by a goal in the game played at the Cape Coast stadium on Thursday night.
However, forward Mukarama Abdulai got the winning goal for Ghana in the extra time after the game ended 1-1.
Sista Afia celebrates with the Black Princesses
Sista Afia visited the locker room of the Black Princesses to celebrate with them after Ghana emerged as victors in a closely contested game.
In the video, the moment she stepped into the locker room, the ladies recognised her and were all smiles.
The ladies sang her hit song Jeje which featured dancehall musician Shatta Wale. They sang at the top of their voices as the singer whined her waist and danced.
She then performed some of her hit songs as they jumped and danced in a circle while the staff of the Black Princesses looked on with smiles on their faces.

Who is Sista Afia?
Francisca Gawugahknown by the stage name Sista Afia, is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter from Accra.
She gained recognition following the release of her single “Jeje”, which features dancehall artist Shatta Wale and Afezi Perry.
Afia is an Afro-pop musician and the niece of Ghanaian Bishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams. She grew up in Accra and Kumasi.
She attended Reverend John Teye Memorial Institute before relocating to the UK to further in nursing.
Afia returned to Ghana in 2015 to start her music career. She took inspiration from musician Bisa Kdei and collaborated on the song ‘Kro Kro No’.
