German bodybuilder Jo Lindner, known online has Joesthetics, has died at the age of 30 .
The news was confirmed by the fitness influencer’s girlfriend Nicha on Saturday (1 July).

Who was Jo Lindner ?
Jo Lindner was a bodybuilder and influencer from Germany who posted online under the name Joesthetics.
He passed away in June 2023, just months after celebrating his 30th birthday.
Jo, who had his own training program called Joesthetics Training System, was best known for the bodybuilding routines and content he shared online with fans.
Lindner had 8.4 million Instagram followers, and his YouTube videos reportedly earned nearly 500 million views.
He regularly shared fitness advice and hacks with his followers.
Jo was thought to be in a romantic relationship with Nicha, known as Imma Peaches on Instagram, who is also in the fitness industry and works as an online coach.
Nicha often appeared on her late boyfriend’s Instagram page and starred in several joint workout videos with him.
Jo Lindner cause of death
Jo Lindner’s cause of death was revealed to be an aneurysm by his rumoured partner.
Joesthetics girlfriend Nicha – who goes by the name Imma Peaches – told her Instagram followers that the late star, who was also known as Joesthetics online, died in her arms.
On July 1, 2023, she posted a moving tribute to Jo and said that the previous day, June 30, he had passed away “by aneurysm.”
She added that in the days before his death, Jo complained of “pain” in his neck.
No official reports or confirmation of Jo’s cause of death, other than Nicha’s post, have been released.
Weeks earlier, Jo said he had feared over-training would give him a heart attack due to his rare muscular condition.
Jo suffered from rippling muscle disease, where muscles are unusually sensitive to movement or pressure.
He previously told YouTuber Bradley Martyn: “The heart is also a muscle, that’s my biggest concern that what if I get such a bad cramp that my heart gets a cramp.”
What is an aneurysm?
An aneurysm is a bulge in the wall of a blood vessel.
There are two types of aneurysms; brain aneurysms and aortic aneurysms.
There can be abdominal aortic aneurysms and thoracic aortic aneurysm.
According to the NHS, an abdominal aortic aneurysm is a swelling in the aorta, the artery that carries blood from the heart to the stomach.
A thoracic aortic aneurysm is an aneurysm in the aorta in the chest, per the NHS.
Nicha did not give details as to what kind of aneurysm Jo reportedly suffered from.
After news of Lindner’s death broke, fellow bodybuilder Noel Deyzel confirmed the reports were true on his Instagram Stories.
“This is not a joke. His mother requested that we inform people about the situation,” he wrote. “Please keep Jo and his loved ones in your prayers.
Another one of Lindner’s friends, known as Vigorous Steve, posted a YouTube video shortly after his death, explaining that the cause of death reports were based on preliminary findings.
“We’re still waiting for the autopsy reports,” he added.
