Ghanaian dancehall star, Livingstone Etse Satekla aka Stonebwoy, has been named the Favourite African Star at the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Stonebwoy won the award after beating competition from three other African stars, Nigeria’s Adesua Etomi-Wellington and IK Osakioduwa, and Kenya’s Sauti Sol. This global annual children’s awards ceremony produced by Nickelodeon aired on GOtv on Sunday, 24 March 2019.

By his win, Stonebwoy becomes the first ever African first African Dancehall Artist to win both a BET and Nickelodeon award. Stonebwoy won BET’s International Act (Africa) award in 2015.
The awards ceremony was hosted by music mogul, DJ Khaled and The show featured a live medley by Migos joined by DJ Mustard.
