The Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas reported receiving reports of “an airplane that lost altitude and possibly crashed” in the southern part of the county at around noon.
The wreckage of the aircraft was found at around 3:40 in the afternoon. Johnny Morgan has reportedly died in a plane crash that happened on Wednesday in rural Arkansas.
Morgan was attempting to fly his twin-engine Beech King Air E-90 from Oxford to Fayetteville, Arkansas, so that it could be maintained, according to several persons close to the family, when it crashed in a heavily forested area.
The only person on board, according to law enforcement, was the pilot, and the Fayetteville Fire Department has confirmed that the pilot died as a result of the accident.
