The Guinness World Records caused quite a stir on Twitter after revealing that Hilda Baci’s record has not been officially confirmed .
Baci, on Monday morning, May 15, 2023, smashed the 87 hours 45 minutes longest cooking time record set by now-former Guinness World Record holder, Lata Tondon.

At the time of this report, the chef had cooked for over 90 hours already.
While many Nigerians and people from around the world congratulated Hilda on breaking the record, Guinness World Records has said it is not official.
The international franchise which began in 1955 was responding to a netizen, @AlexanderDgreat on Twitter, who wondered why they weren’t talking about Hilda‘s record.
In a reply via their official Twitter handle, GWR stated that they are aware of Hilda’s amazing record attempt but need to review all the evidence before officially confirming it as a record.
Guinness World Records reply reads: “We’re aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record.”
Many Nigerians besieged the Twitter page of GWR to demand they do the needful as they continued to root for the chef .
