Jeff Okudah is a talented American football cornerback who currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL).

Okudah was born in the United States on February 2, 1999, and attended South Grand Prairie High School in Grand Prairie, Texas, where he excelled in football.
He was a five-star recruit who committed to Ohio State University in January 2017, where he excelled as a player.

Jeff Okudah started all 14 games for Ohio State as a true freshman in 2017, recording 17 tackles. In 2018, he continued to shine as a sophomore, appearing in 13 games and recording 32 tackles.
He had his first career interception against the Miami Redhawks in his junior year and went on to record 34 tackles, 9 passes defensed, and 3 interceptions.
His performance this year earned him unanimous All-American honors as well as a spot on the Jim Thorpe Award shortlist.
Okudah was regarded as the top cornerback prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft due to his impressive college record.
The Detroit Lions selected him with the third overall pick, and he signed a four-year rookie contract with the team on July 13, 2020. The contract was worth $33.528 million, including a signing bonus of $21.944 million.
Unfortunately, Okudah injured his hamstring during training camp and missed the season opener. He made his return in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers, allowing six completions for 96 yards.
The following week, he bounced back and recorded his first career interception off a pass thrown by Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. Okudah’s rookie season was cut short due to a core muscle injury, and he was placed on injured reserve.
Okudah ruptured his Achilles tendon during the Lions’ 2021 season opener against the San Francisco 49ers and was placed on injured reserve once more.

The Lions traded him to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft on April 11, 2023. Despite his injuries, Okudah remains a highly talented player with a promising NFL future.
