According to reports, Scott told her story for the Trans Day of Visibility film produced by United in 2020. She apparently revealed why she is unhappy with her life in the video. Many of her Instagram followers made attempts to get in touch with her and offer support.
The flight attendant from Colorado gained attention after posting a post of her experience on United’s social media. She described how the entire neighborhood and airline staff assisted her in releasing the chain holding her.
Kayleigh thanked her coworkers in the post for always being understanding and encouraging of her. She was thankful to them for meeting the need and aiding in the solution, in contrast to others who treated Scott like trash.

A trans woman, Kayleigh Scott, who worked as a flight attendant at United Airlines sadly passed away on Monday, March 20th, 2023 due to an apparent suicide.
An emotional suicide note was posted on Kayleigh Scott’s Facebook page on the same day before she was discovered dead from self-inflicted injuries.
According to reports, Scott had been struggling with her mental health for some time prior to her death. In a post she left behind, she mentioned the challenges of being a trans woman as one of the factors that contributed to her decision to take her own life.
Specifically, she mentioned the difficulties of living as a trans person in a society that often fails to understand or accept their identities, as well as the challenges she faced within her workplace.
