Award-winning South African rapper AKA was shot dead on Durban’s Florida road. He had been standing outside Wish restaurant.
As the matter of AKA’s passing was confirmed, it was since revealed and confirmed that friend and celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Molestane was also a casualty during the shooting.

A video of the attending officer on the scene shares more light as to what happened during the shooting. It is reported that AKA and Tibz, who was mistaken for his security intel, were having dinner in Morningside, Durban.
As they were leaving the restaurant to head to their car that was when two unknown gunmen shot and instantly killed AKA and Tibz.
“As AKA and his Bodyguard were leaving for their vihicle, 2 unknown gunman came across the street on foot, and opened fire on them killing them instantly”

South Africans link AKA death to his late fiancée Anele Tembe.
But back in 2021, Anele met a tragic end when it was reported that she had taken her life by jumping out of a hotel balcony in Cape Town. The only witness to the suicide being AKA, who when speaking about the sequence of events alleged that he was not in the room when Anele decided to throw herself over the balcony.

In the video, the rapper’s lifeless body can be seen sharply dressed in white sneakers and a pair of denim jeans.
