Rapper Lil Tijay was arrested in the Bronx on Monday by officers of the New York Police Department while he was on his way to film a music video with Ice Spice, according to a report published by TMZ.
It has been alleged that Lil Tijay has been taken into custody because of weapons violation.

2022 shooting
Lil Tijay was shot multiple times on June 2022 in Edgewater, New Jersey. A 22-year-old man called Mohamed Konate was arrested for the shooting and subsequently charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, and weapons-related charges.
When the incident took play, Tijay was in a car with associates Jeffery Valdez and Antoine Boyd. The duo were later arrested on weapons charges as well. It is yet unclear whether Lil Tijay’s arrest is somehow related to this incident in New Jersey.

Tijay has since recovered from the shooting and the music video with Ice Spice was set to be one of his most significant projects since his full recovery.
After he gained consciousness in the hospital, Tijay had posted a video on his Instagram handle where he said, “Man, I’m just checking in with y’all. I just want to say thanks for the love, thanks for the support,” further adding, “I was looking at the DMs and I’m seeing the comments and everything else and I felt loved, know what I’m saying?”
